SPRINGVALE Community Aid and Advice Bureau (SCAAB) celebrated National Volunteer Week with a special afternoon tea on 22 May.
Its volunteers and board of directors met to share their experiences about working at SCAAB.
The organisation started in 1971 to meet the needs of the local community by providing information, connection and support services.
As the community has changed and grown, the organisation has continued to rely on the contribution of volunteers.
Volunteers from diverse backgrounds with different language and cultural skills play a key role in providing services, information, advocacy, emergency relief and more.
SCAAB is always seeking new volunteers. Call 9546 5255 for more information.
Bureau thanks willing helpers
