Broken bottle hold up

A MAN armed with a jagged glass bottle threatened a Dandenong shop attendant about 9pm on 13 June.
He entered Sadaqat Superstore in Thomas Street, Dandenong, and looked around the store before producing a bottle, smashing it on the counter and holding it towards the attendant, demanding cash.
The would-be robber ran when a customer entered the shop, but the attendant and the customer followed.
They caught up to the man and a scuffle ensued before he fled along Thomas Street.
The attendant, a 48-year-old Dandenong man, suffered minor facial injuries.
Police are examining CCTV footage and appealing for witnesses.
Call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 with any information.
