A helping hand

SMALL business can be scary.
But Keysborough Learning Centre has brainstormed an initiative it hopes will help men not only learn important life skills but apply them in their own small business.
The Men at Work program is about to kick-off and the centre is calling for men willing to apply themselves to come forward and take part.
Participants will have the opportunity to learn and to work in a group setting.
The centre says the aim of the program is to provide a number of men with the opportunity to prepare and trial a small business venture of their choice.
The group will plan the venture with the aid of a facilitator.
Participants in the program will train at Keysborough Learning Centre.
The centre is after men who are at least 45-years-old, are not already working full time, can commit up to two days a week to the program, can work cooperatively and are willing to take part in education and training programs.
Meanwhile, the Keysborough Learning Centre is also calling for volunteers for a wide range of activities.
Volunteers will help the centre with administration and reception duties, food hampers, bread delivery, gardening, maintenance, and even building.
The centre says volunteers can help “at times which suit them”.
