A MAN was kicked and punched in the face during the latest incidence of train station violence in Noble Park.
Police said the assault occurred at 1.45am on Tuesday at the Heatherton Road railway crossing.
A man had left a nearby shop after buying milk and withdrawing money from an Automatic Teller Machine. ).
Police said three men approached the man, 64, from behind and stole his bag and mobile phone.
During the robbery the man was punched and kicked, causing lacerations and bruising to his face.
The three attackers fled when a passer-by stopped.
Police called in a dog squad unit to search for the three attackers, but they escaped.
The injured man was taken to Dandenong Hospital for treatment.
