Assault, rampage after entry refusal

A MAN who turned up drunk to a licensed venue in Noble Park last Thursday afternoon, allegedly assaulted staff members when he was asked to leave and then went on a rampage in the local area.

Following the alleged assaults at 2.48pm, the Dandenong North man, 30, left the Princes Highway venue, police said.

He allegedly damaged a nearby parked car before walking to a convenience store and damaging a further two vehicles and the shop-front, while trying to get in.

He was arrested that night by police and has been remanded in custody to appear in court at a later date.

Police are appealing for witnesses to contact Crime Stoppers, 1800 333 000.
