Police are investigating a deliberately lit fire in parkland near the Thomas Carroll Reserve in Box Street, Dandenong. Six CFA units attended the blaze that burnt about 300 square metres of bushland last Monday. Police say a group of eight to 10 men, of African appearance, were nearby.
