HUNDREDS of veterans, family members and supporters marched to Noble Park’s Memorial Park last Sunday for the 2007 Anzac Day service.
Held three days before Anzac Day, the march went along Mons Parade to the Noble Park RSL’s Memorial Park, and involved veterans from a variety of conflicts, flag bearers, army and air force cadet squads, local emergency service workers, and a pipe and drum duo.
After arriving at Memorial Park, marchers took their seats beneath a marquee as Noble Park RSL president Gordon Murray handed over to guest speaker Australian Army Warrant Officer II Jane Wall, who spoke of what Anzac Day meant to her as a serving member of Australian Defence Force.
Participants then laid wreaths, followed by an afternoon of reminiscing with old friends.
