FIREFIGHTERS pulled an infant boy from a car wreck after it ploughed into a house in Clow Street, Dandenong, on Tuesday night.
The infant and two men were trapped in the sedan after it careered out of control and smashed into the house at 11.50pm.
Leading Firefighter Adrian Devenish from Dandenong Fire Brigade reached through a side window to rescue the infant who was still strapped in his child seat.
The infant was then handed over to paramedics for treatment.
The car had travelled through the front garden areas of two neighbouring houses before slamming through a brick pillar and gate of the third house and causing the carport to collapse.
The two men remained trapped as firefighters spent 20 minutes cutting them from the wreck, allowing paramedics to transport the duo to hospital.
Fire Officer Don Tomkins from Dandenong Fire Brigade coordinated the rescue effort, working with MAS officers and police.
The carport roof was stabilised to allow the rescue to take place and a City of Greater Dandenong Council building inspector examined the damaged home. Firefighters said people were in the house at the time of the impact, but were not injured.
