Miraculous escape after car flips in busy Dandenong street

By TARA McGRATH

A MAN made a miraculous escape when his car flipped outside Chisholm TAFE this morning.

It is believed the man was driving along Stud Road when he collided with a parked silver car, which then rolled into another car.

According to witnesses Rachel Keth and Georgina Dragoi, the moving car then flipped several metres in the air and landed on its roof.

The girls said there was ‘‘lots of screaming’’ when the car hit the stationary vehicles.

Dandenong’s Sergeant Steve Ashley told the Weekly the male driver had been taken to hospital with head injuries.

Police were yet to establish the cause of the accident, which was being investigated.

Both lanes along Stud Road north-bound in Dandenong were expected to be closed until about 11am this morning.
