Springvale food parcel drive for Christmas

Springvale Benevolent Society is asking citizens to save one non-perishable grocery item a week and donate to the society’s Christmas food hamper drive.

President Joe Rechichi is calling for shoppers to buy and stash an extra can of food with their grocery shopping to give to the cause. He is hoping to form 200 hampers this Christmas, up from 90 hampers given away last year. Cash is also welcome to buy food vouchers for needy families.

Contact: 9546 5558 from December 1 to arrange a free home pick-up of your donations.
