THE CITY of Greater Dandenong Council is hoping improvements to its website will strengthen links between local businesses and the state and federal governments.
The move will help local businesses find contacts at government agencies such as the Australian Tax Office, WorkCover, the State Revenue Office, Consumer Affairs Victoria and the Small Business Commissioner.
The website improvement is in the form of a tool called Government Information for Business.
Using the tool, businesses can manage their compliance obligations, registration, licences and permits, interact with the State Government and the council directly, and obtain quick answers to frequently asked questions.
Greater Dandenong mayor Youhorn Chea said the website would be a valuable resource for local businesses.
“Government Information for Business offers businesses simple and convenient access to all the government information, transactions and services they need,” Cr Chea said.
