DOVETON scored two first-half goals to set up an impressive away victory against Berwick City in Football Federation Victoria State League Three South East action on Saturday.
Leon Buhic and Reha Ulusoy set up the 2-1 win for the Doves, scoring early before holding on in the second half at Jack Thomas Reserve.
Simon Mur netted one for Berwick City, but the team failed to capitalise on second-half chances to equalise.
The win puts Doveton in fourth place on the ladder, two points clear of Springvale City.
The Vales went down to Endeavour United 3-1 at Ross Reserve, despite Jusuf Pekmezovic scoring his seventh goal of the season.
A pair from David Schulberg secured the three points for United, with Jason Castel slotting through another.
Springvale City will be on the road this Saturday to face ninth-placed Sandringham City, while Doveton looks to continue its good form against Morwell Pegasus at Waratah Reserve.
