UPDATE:
THE Lightwood Road gas leak is now safe.
The CFA has issued an all-clear for the Springvale incident.

EMERGENCY crews have closed Lightwood Road in Springvale after a high-pressure gas main was ruptured.
A CFA spokesman said police had evacuated up to 40 people from the area after the gas leak was called through shortly after 10am.
The CFA is advising people nearby to close windows and doors and turn off heating and cooling vents. Police are directing traffic.
The spokesman said four CFA vehicles were at the scene, including the Dandenong Hazmat Detection Unit and the Hallam Heavy Hazmat Vehicle, and another was on its way.
A 300-millimetre main on Lightwood Road, near Warwick Avenue, is affected and the gas company has workers at the scene.
It’s believed power has been cut to the area and electricity company workers are on standby to reconnect it after the scene has been made safe.
