Flood of tributes

On behalf of the Dandenong Agricultural and Pastoral Society Inc, I wish to offer our sincerest condolences on the passing of our much loved and treasured Marg Stork.
Marg was a true icon of Dandenong’s community. She was always so interested and informed on the happenings within our city and a wonderful supporter of all things Dandenong.
The Dandenong Show was diligently reported on and promoted by Marg for as long as any of us can remember and she will be always fondly remembered and sadly missed.
Lynne Ferris,
Secretary.

Marg Stork was one of Greater Dandenong’s iconic characters.
In many ways she was the heart and soul of this area.
She was also one of council’s much-loved Living Treasures.
Her love of Dandenong and its people and her role as a storyteller will be sadly missed by all those who knew her, worked with her, as well as the people that read her weekly column in the Dandenong Journal newspaper.
The City of Greater Dandenong sends its deepest sympathies to her husband Don and the rest of her family.
Marg will be sadly missed but never forgotten.
Cr Jim Memeti,
Mayor, City of Greater Dandenong.

It’s so sad. I knew Marg well and she did a number of stories about me and I found her very knowledgable and a charming person.
She loved Dandenong and Dandenong loved her.

Very sad news – loved Marg’s stories about the old days at the Journal, and never any shortage of advice for the current journos!
