Vote for school cash

FOUR Greater Dandenong schools are in the running for a $5000 grant.
Each community member can cast two votes for the school project they’d like the CUA Community Care program money to go to until Sunday 24 August.
Emerson School is after cash for its junior bike safety program, Harrisfield Primary School wants to build a fitness track, Lyndale Secondary College needs funding for its multicultural understanding program and Springvale Park Special Developmental School wants a lift for its fit and healthy spaces project.
CUA Dandenong manager Vicki Douglas said the grants involved the whole community, allowing friends, family and neighbours to embrace a project close to their heart.
“The other great thing is that size is no barrier to winning a CUA Community Care grant as it’s a pro-rata voting arrangement so small schools have just as much of a chance as large schools,” she said.
Voters can visit the CUA Dandenong branch or www.cuacommunitycare.com.au.
