HOMICIDE Squad detectives hope an information caravan will unlock the mystery of a Springvale man’s death.
They set up the booth in Prior Road, Noble Park, last Thursday – a week after a motorist found Peter Danh’s body in the street about 10.20pm on 11 September.
Witnesses have told police they heard arguing and car doors opening and closing about this time.
Police suspect foul play and would like to speak to anyone who was near the scene in the 20 minutes before the body was discovered, particularly two men seen in a silver Ford sedan in Prior Road.
It’s believed they stopped at the scene and performed a U-turn before driving back down Prior Road.
Mr Danh, 36, was last seen in Walsh Street, Noble Park, between 9pm and 10pm.“We’re trying to piece together Peter’s movements in the hope we can get a better understanding of the circumstances surrounding his death,” Homicide Squad Inspector Mick Hughes said.
“Any information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, could be crucial to solving this case.”
Insp Hughes urged anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential crime report via www.crimestoppersvic.com.au.
