A MAN’S body was found in a burned-out car in Dawn Avenue, Dandenong South, on Thursday morning in what police deemed as “non-suspicious” circumstances.
A neighbour told the Journal he’d heard a car alarm and saw smoke and a “flash” coming from the Honda Civic parked on the street about 1.10am.
Firefighters discovered the body when they extinguished the blaze.
Police from the Casey CIU, arson and explosives unit and forensics investigated the scene.
Shortly after 9am, a police spokeswoman stated the death was “non-suspicious”.
The body had not been formally identified by Friday.
