Sudanese girls stun the catwalk but Marina takes top berth

THE MISS South Sudan Beauty Pageant held in Clayton on Saturday saw the nation’s most beautiful Sudanese girls take to the catwalk to try to win modeling contracts and public recognition.
But there could only be one overall winner, Marina Ayen from South Australia, who narrowly defeated Victorians Nyamal Donis and Betty Atong.
Star photographer Meagan Rogers was front and centre to snap the ladies as they paraded down the catwalk in traditional African wear, before later emerging in contemporary clothing.
The New Sudan Youth Association of Australia and Big 3, an event production group made up of Sudanese youths, co-organised the pageant with help from the Springvale Community Aid and Advice Bureau’s Youth Links team.
