Lost for words

By CASEY NEILL

ANDREA Wyatt’s first job post-university is back where her education began.
The Keysborough 23-year-old is Chandler Park Primary School’s new speech pathologist.
“I suppose it’s pretty amazing,” she said.
“The pathology room is my grade three classroom.
“It was the place where I started my education and then I got to the end of it and it’s my first workplace.
“It’s pretty exciting. I’m very lucky to have a job here. It’s such a welcoming community.”
Principal Peter Paul was also at the helm during Ms Wyatt’s schooling.
“Some of my old teachers are still here as well,” she said.
“It’s a bit interesting to adjust.
“Peter’s been very supportive and very welcoming.”
Ms Wyatt’s dad Greg was the school council president while she was a student and returns to the school each year in his role as a GP.
“He did have a big influence on the school and he still comes back to do the staff vaccines every year,” she said.
“He still has a connection to the school as well.
“He hasn’t let go after how many years?”
Ms Wyatt will work with individual students and groups to address speech impediments and language disorders.
