POLICE are searching for anyone connected to an incident in Springvale last week where a firearm was produced.
The incident happened in Buckingham Avenue in the afternoon ofTuesday 4 October.
Police said a stolen car was abandoned after an altercation between a group of males. Witnesses saw one man produce a firearm and chase the others.
No arrests have been made and police are continuing with their inquiries. Anyone with information is urged to contact Springvale CIU on 9546 2929.
POLICE are investigating the sexual assault of two women in Dandenong last Saturday week.
Police said the women, aged 15 and 20, were picked up by two men at a Dandenong train station and taken in a Nissan 200SX to a birthday party at 8pm on Saturday 1 October.
The women were then driven from the party by the two men and taken to the Dandenong Market where they were sexually assaulted.
The women escaped after being taken to the car park of a shopping centre.

A SPATE of thefts from cars around Springvale and Noble Park has seen police issue a warning to car owners.
Detective Acting Sergeant Simon Black from Springvale CIU said a group of people had been targeting AU model Fords in car parks around licensed and pokie machine venues.
“There has been an upsurge in those vehicles,” Det Act Sgt Black said. “We are warning not to place valuables in cars.” He said the thefts were mainly during the lunch hour and after work, with suspects watching as cars were parked.
