A WOMAN was killed in Springvale last week after being struck by a VLine train.
Police are investigating the incident, but a spokesman said it was unlikely that there were any suspicious circumstances.
The Dandenong line was closed for nearly two hours after the incident on Tuesday afternoon of last week (4 October) while emergency personnel and members of the coroner’s office investigated.
The woman was killed on the train line next to Newcomen Road, about 200 metres west of the Springvale Road intersection. Connex spokesman Andrew Cassidy said bus services were called in to replace trains between Oakleigh and Dandenong between 3.50pm and 4.40pm.
