THE cultural wonders of Afghanistan can be experienced in the heart of Dandenong thanks to a guided tour offered by the council.
The City of Greater Dandenong is holding its Afghani Bazaar cultural tours from Friday 16 May and running once a month until December. Thomas Street is the heart of Dandenong’s Afghani community and as such the precinct is rich with culturally unique foods, fashion and music.
Bookings are essential to ensure a spot in the tours, which kick off at 6.30pm.
The tour is free but finishes with an optional dinner.
