POLICE are investigating two shrub fires lit within minutes of each other in Dandenong this month.
The first fire was lit about 6.10pm on Wednesday 2 September at a vacant block in James Street, while the second fire burnt through grass and shrubs on nearby Cleeland Street only minutes later.
CFA crews attended and quickly extinguished both fires, with no property damage caused by either.
A police spokesperson told Star News it was “highly likely” the fires were linked.
