SPRINGVALE Community Garden is throwing open its gates to give green thumbs a gander.
The garden will also host free workshops from 10.30am to 11.30am on Saturday 19 March.
Visitors can learn how to start and maintain a home compost or worm farm and how to use the by-products.
Children can participate in free planting activities.
There’ll be a lunch-time sausage sizzle, and Bunnings is providing a ‘gate prize’ and other giveaways.
The open day will run from 10am to 2pm at Springvale Community Garden is at 1-7 Morwell Parade, Springvale.
