Chill adds Christmas wonder

Christmas spirit filled Uniting AgeWell Noble Park on Wednesday 27 July.
The aged care centre became a winter wonderland as residents, clients and volunteers celebrated Christmas in July with Frosty the Snowman, Rudolf the Reindeer, pudding and festive cheer.
Guests got creative with their festive costumes and enjoyed a Christmas-themed two-course lunch and entertainment from music and comedy act Robert and Roger.
Lifestyle activity officer Mary Sincock said many residents and clients came from countries where Christmas was celebrated during the colder months.
“Celebrating Christmas in July is not only a fun activity that provides residents and clients a winter feel to Christmas, it also stimulates and triggers positive memories for many,” she said.
“The decorations, food and entertainment all stimulate the various senses and encourage conversations and discussions.”
Uniting AgeWell is an organisation of the Uniting Church in Australia.
