THE universal language of music filled the Dandenong CBD on Friday as the Victorian police band Code One performed in the Plaza.
In the quest to maintain public confidence and perception, Code One performed pop music from the early 1950s through to the latest Top 40.
Code One, consisting of six uniformed members, performed a number of songs including Fergie’s Big Girls Don’t Cry and a Maroon 5 number.
Vocalists Senior Constable Brian Carbery and Constable Lorena Novoa were accompanied by Senior Constables Richard Bennett on drums, Jason Bond as a sound technician, Simon Deppeler on bass guitar and Rick Varlet on guitar.
Code One’s main assignment is to break down any barriers between the general public and Victoria Police.
