ALLEN Garb purchased The Good Guys in Dandenong just over three years ago, after having spent 15 years in the corporate retail world with Wesfarmers and then a couple of years owning his own retail store in Perth.
The first thing visitors to the store will notice since Allen’s takeover is the new layout.
The ability to see all of the products from every vantage point in the store together with designated signage has meant a totally new feel.
The store and its staff are very community focused, and have recently joined forces with an organisation called United Way, which manages their community projects.
The company proudly boasts that every purchase contributes to the community. The Dandenong store has highlighted the Dandenong Hospital and in particular the “Child Play Centre” as its beneficiary for the year.
The company is a worthy nominee in the areas of retail, service excellence, corporate and social responsibility as well as the Premier Regional Business Award for 2009.
