Keysborough will have a new primary school by 2020, and plans for an Endeavour Hills special school are coming.
On Monday 23 April, Keysborough MP Martin Pakula announced that the 2018-’19 State Budget would include $18.9 million for Keysborough South Primary School in Homeleigh Road.
“Our growing community in Keysborough South needs this new primary school and I’m proud to be delivering it for local families,” he said.
“I’ve listened closely to what local parents have told me and this new primary school will help give local kids the classrooms and facilities they deserve.”
Keysborough South Action Group has been campaigning for the school for more than three years.
Greater Dandenong Council has also advocated for the facility.
Dandenong MP Gabrielle Williams announced that the budget would also include money to start planning a special school in Endeavour Hills.
“Building Endeavour Hills Special School will ensure we keep pace with the community’s increasing population and gives families certainty and peace of mind,” she said.
