POLICE are investigating an armed robbery at Gass Service Station in Springvale.
On 19 April, two men spent an hour in and around the Springvale Road store.
Police said between 4.25am and 4.40am, they approached the counter and one man produce a knife and forced the attendant into an office area.
He kept the attendant in the office while the second man accessed the till.
Both men then stole cigarettes.
Police said one man grabbed a bat which was behind the counter and smashed the surveillance cameras, unaware that other cameras were recording the incident.
They were last seen heading north on Springvale Road.
One of the men is described as being aged between 30 and 40, Caucasian with a thin build. He was wearing a dark jacket.
The other man is described as having a solid build, with brown hair and a ‘rats tail’. He was wearing a Melbourne Storm top.
