Living like Kings for 60 years of marriage

At a local church youth group in 1955, 16-year-old Pat met her future husband Albert King.

Before that point, the teenagers didn’t realise they lived in the same street.

On 18 June, Mr and Mrs King celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a cake and sit-down morning tea with friends at Springvale Senior Citizen’s Multicultural Club.

When they married, they lived as a couple in Clayton while their home in Springvale was being built.

It’s the same home they live in today.

Mr and Mrs King have two children Jan and Helen.

They are members at the multicultural senior citizens club at The Crescent, Springvale which holds activities every Tuesday 9am-3.15pm.
