Police are asking for help in identifying two hooded people who smashed their way into Dandenong Market Place on Thursday 14 November.
Police allege the two bandits pulled up in a Ford Falcon bearing stolen registration plates YSU 891 and forced entry into the Market Place using a jemmy bar.
They then used tools to remove an ATM from the fixture before placing it on a trolley and wheeling it outside to the waiting vehicle, police say.Police arrived at the time but the bandits had left the scene in the vehicle.
No money was stolen at the time.
Police have releases CCTV images of people who may be able to assist with their enquiries.
