TWO Greater Dandenong little athletics clubs have received McDonald’s Sports Grants.
Only seven centres in Victoria received the $1000 grant and both the Dandenong and Springvale centres were among the lucky recipients.
Dandenong centre representative Des Platton said the grant will help pay for desperately needed equipment and couldn’t have come at a better time.
“Little athletics offers local Dandenong kids a friendly, safe and supervised environment to participate in sport and now, with the $1000 McDonald’s Sports Grant we can make that experience even more beneficial,” Ms Platton said.
Local McDonald’s restaurants nominate their local athletics centre for the grant.
