Police hunt car hijacker

A MAN was forced to drive for more than 25 minutes after another man got into his vehicle in Dandenong South.
Police said the driver was in Bryants Road on Thursday 18 August, about 5pm, when the man opened his front passenger door and got in while the car was stopped at Kirkham Road.
The victim was told to drive to a street in Dandenong North, where the unwanted passenger fled along with a small amount of change that was in the car.
Police said that although there was no weapon involved and the driver was unharmed, he did fear for his safety. The offender is said to have been injured and had a bloody face. He is described as Caucasian, about 18 years of age, of medium build with short black hair. He was wearing blue pants and a blue hooded top and was carrying a black bag.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Marisa Owens at the Dandenong CIU on 9767 7444.
