Man dies in crash

By Nicole Williams
A NOBLE Park man died after an out-of-control car caused chaos in the back streets of Noble Park early on Sunday morning.
Police said a silver Magna sedan was travelling north on Corrigan Road at midnight when it crashed into the rear of the vehicle driving in front, a Toyota Camry.
The female driver of the Magna did not stop and after doing a u-turn further along Corrigan Road, hit a parked car.
Police believe the driver then turned into Kleine Street, mounted the footpath and crashed into a tree on the front lawn of a house near Taranto Drive.
An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said the front seat passenger, a 25-year-old Noble Park man, was treated by paramedics for 45 minutes after being cut from the wreckage.
He was resuscitated but died at the scene.
The 21-year-old female driver, also from Noble Park, was treated on the footpath after she stopped breathing and was taken to The Alfred hospital in a stable condition.
A 19-year-old male was also a passenger in the car and was treated for minor injuries.
Alcohol may have been a contributing factor in the crash.
Police are still investigating the crash and no-one has been charged.
Anyone with information about the fatal collision is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
