A SPRINGVALE South man was charged last week following a 10-month operation targeting high-level drug trafficking activity.
Detectives from the Major Drug Investigation Division charged four men last Thursday, concluding what police described as a successful operation. The operation began in February.
Police said that since August 8800 ecstasy tablets have been seized along with amphetamine and crystal meth-amphetamine with a street value of about $190,000.
Three vehicles were also seized during the investigation.
The 35-year-old man from Springvale South was charged with possessing and trafficking heroin and possessing proceeds of crime.
He will appear at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court at a later date.
A 56-year-old man from Richmond, 49-year-old man from Prahran and 40-year-old man from Abbotsford were all charged with trafficking and possessing commercial quantities of ecstasy and crystal meth-amphetamine.
