A SPRINGVALE Subway Restaurant worker had a lucky escape when two bungling bandits couldn’t get inside the store.
The female worker had just locked the front door at 9.05pm on Wednesday 16 November when two men shook the locked door and produced a baseball bat before running towards the back of the building.
They did not get in to the building or steal anything.
One of the men was described as 185cm tall with a solid build; he was wearing a white and black face mask, a blue hooded jumper pulled up, gloves and carried a cream-coloured bag. The second man was described as 160cm tall, Caucasian with a solid build; he was wearing a dark hooded jumper pulled up, dark tracksuit pants, gloves and had a black bandana covering his mouth and nose.
Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact Detective Senior Constable Church from Dandenong Embona on 9767 7618 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
