A CEMENT mixer caused serious injuries to a factory worker in Dandenong South on Tuesday.
The 24-year-old man suffered serious internal injuries when the reversing truck pinned him against the factory wall at 1.20pm.
Intensive care paramedic Sam Marshall said the man was pushed against the wall for only a short time.
‘He was guiding a reversing truck when the sheet (the slide that the concrete runs down) has pinned him up against a concrete wall for approximately 10 seconds,’ he said.
‘The 24-year-old man suffered serious internal abdominal injuries and had bruising and grazing across his stomach and ribs.
He was taken to The Alfred hospital in a serious condition.
