HE’S a familiar face at police stations in Dandenong and Springvale but Murray McGregor is retiring.
To honour his 20 years of service as a Justice of the Peace (JP), Inspector Charles Allen of the Dandenong Police District presented him with a Victoria Police Plaque of Appreciation.
The afternoon tea, hosted by senior police from Springvale and Dandenong, at the Dandenong RSL on Tuesday 6 December was attended by JPs who service the two stations.
Mr Allen said they had handled a combined 170,000 documents during the year.
Mr McGregor has devoted more than 20 years of service as a JP, Bail Justice and until 2006 was also an Independent Third Person.
He is retiring due to his age and health.
