POLICE raids in Dandenong have uncovered a massive haul of drugs, cash and stolen property.
Three men were arrested in the raids and charged with trafficking, possessing and using methylamphetamine, handling stolen goods and possessing a dangerous weapon.
The arrests came after police executed a number of warrants on Friday in Dandenong, Mill Park and Cranbourne.
The premises were searched as part of a four-and-a-half month investigation by Taskforce 500 into several men who policed believed were selling stolen property.
The items seized included more than $80,000 cash, a high-performance motor car, tool boxes and commercial tools, computer equipment, and electrical goods, including plasma televisions.
Police said the property had been identified as being stolen during commercial burglaries in various suburbs across metropolitan Melbourne.
Three Cranbourne East men, aged 34, 26 and 23, were charged and bailed to appear at the Dandenong Magistrates’ Court on 13 March.
A 30-year-old man from Epping was expected to be charged on summons with trafficking, possessing and using amphetamine.
Police said it was likely he would also be charged with numerous counts of handling stolen goods and possessing proceeds of crimes.
A 37-year-old Dandenong man was interviewed by police in relation to handling stolen goods and was later released pending further inquiries.
