THE sky was the limit for firefighters who tackled a Springvale house fire this week.
Late in the afternoon of 8 January, firefighters were called to Albert Street, Springvale, where a townhouse in its final stages of construction was ablaze.
Firefighters said access to the roof and upper level was difficult and so they called in a cherry-picker platform to conduct an aerial assault on the blaze.
As a result, the blaze was extinguished but extensive water damage also occurred.
Police and CFA fire investigators were called in to assess the cause of the blaze.
