A COUCH was set alight after an argument between two boarders at an adult accommodation centre in Dandenong this week.
Police have charged an 18-year-old man in relation to the fire and he has been remanded to appear before Melbourne Magistrates’ Court.
Police said fire broke out in a living room at 1am on Tuesday at the Aaron Lodge Special Accommodation Home in Power Street, Dandenong.
Police said the blaze began after an argument between two boarders turned sour.
The Country Fire Authority and police attended. Police said the accommodation house’s sprinkler system had extinguished the fire.
Fifteen occupants were evacuated as fire crews mopped up the water from the scene.
