Boy injured by electric shock

A 15-YEAR-OLD boy was rushed to the Monash Hospital after he received an electric shock while retrieving a football from the roof of Dandenong Presbyterian Church on Saturday.
Police said the 15-year-old climbed onto the roof of the church about 5.30pm to collect the football that was kicked onto the roof.
Police said he was one of four boys playing football at the time.
He removed his shoes before climbing up three metres to a section of metal roof. Police said that when he touched another section of the metal roof, he received the shock.
Another boy, aged nine, went to his assistance and also received an electric shock when he grabbed the injured boy’s leg.
Police, ambulance, firefighters and electricity company workers rescued the boy.
Police said the 15-year-old boy was treated at the scene and taken to the Monash Hospital in a stable condition.
The nine-year-old boy was taken to the same hospital for observation.
