A PASSIONATE motor mechanic and devoted childcare worker are this year’s cream of south east Melbourne’s youth skills crop at the LINK Employment and Training Young Apprentice/Trainee of the Year Awards for 2007.

Auto electrician and apprentice motor mechanic Ben Flower (below, with employer John Bennetto) is the winner of the Group Training Apprentice of the Year Award.
Star has partnered with the Dandenong-based LINK Employment and Training not-for-profit organisation to produce this special edition paying tribute to the region’s highest-achieving young apprentices and trainees.
LINK, first established in 1984 as the Dandenong Western Port Group Training Scheme Incorporated, offers nationally accredited training, and job placement and recruitment.
