ENERGETIC illusionist Cosentino wowed a sold-out audience at Dandenong’s Drum Theatre on Friday night.
In a dazzling performance that would have done Harry Houdini proud, Cosentino escaped the strangle of a straightjacket, transported rabbits and even sawed a member of his cast in half.
The Drum Theatre was Cosentino’s first stop as the show embarks on a country and Melbourne tour.
The talented illusionist is just 22 years old and managed to keep his audience enthralled by fusing dance, mime, humour and audience participation in two fast-moving acts.
Drum Theatre manager Paul Streefkerk said a full house was a great way to open this year’s program.
“There were lots of families and it was a great show,” he said,
“2007 holds many more highlights for all our patrons and it’s a really exciting year ahead.”
