THE Lions Club of Noble ParkKeysborough teamed up with The Song Room for a combined sausage sizzle and music day for teachers and students of the Noble Park English school.
The school organised a holiday program for new arrivals, mainly from Sudan.
The event was funded and coordinated by The Song Room under the direction of Deborah Nicholson.
It provided instruction on drumming, dance, puppetry, singing and story telling — all part of the African heritage.
The Song Room is a nonprofit organisation.
Its main aim is to ensure that all Australian children have the opportunity to participate in music and the arts to enhance their education and personal development.
