DANDENONG’s Oasis swim centre could be upgraded in several areas after a council delegation visited the state’s best indoor pool sites this month.
Cleeland Ward councillor Paul Donovan said the Oasis pool compared favourably with other swim centres, and had a much better atmosphere than some. But Cr Donovan said there were opportunities to include a gymnasium and group exercise facility to increase the centre’s profit.
“There may also be improvements to the children’s facilities,” he said. Cr Donovan said the council was compiling an aquatic studies report to consider possible upgrades at Oasis.
