BUILDERS of Dandenong’s Drum Theatre and Town Hall have collected an award for design and construction.
The Master Builders’ Association of Victoria has awarded builder Kane Constructions with an award for the project because it was a difficult site to work at, the architecture was complex and builders were under enormous pressure to finish in time for February’s gala opening.
City mayor Peter Brown congratulated the builders and said their hard work had paid off.
“The Dandenong Town Hall has always been a major part of the life of Dandenong.
“It has once again taken centre stage as a premier regional arts facility and now has a prestigious award to its name,” he said.
