Cash found after search

POLICE recovered $230,000 of crime-related money from separate residential and business premises in Keysborough last week.
Dandenong Detective Senior Constable Rick Mokos said police carried out search warrants on the properties on 6 September and found the money.
He said police arrested two people, one a 39-year-old Noble Park man charged with handling stolen goods and theft, the other a 33-year-old Noble Park woman charged with theft and perjury.
Both have been bailed to appear before Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 4 December.

A MAN was attacked by a group of people demanding his mobile phone and cash in Dandenong last week.
Police said at 1.25am on 8 September a 28-year-old Dandenong man was walking along King Street, Dandenong.
Police said at least two people then emerged from a white car and called out to the man, demanding his wallet and mobile phone.
The group then attacked the man, punching him in the face and patting him down before fleeing with nothing.
Police believe a hammer was also used in the attack.
Police are appealing to witnesses or anyone with information to come forward and contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
