Dance feast to end the year

YOUNG people in the City of Greater Dandenong can celebrate the end of the year in style with a Phaze dance party at The Castle in December.
The council’s youth services team is preparing the dance part for 11 to 17-year-olds for Saturday 1 December starting at 7pm and ending at 11.30pm.
The extravaganza will showcase the city’s best hip hop and breakdancing crews including Funk-a-licious, X-static, Hi Voltage, Destruct, X-cape, and Street Funk.
It will also include Krumping demonstrations, a Shuffling demo and African emcees as special guests.
Also featuring are local Phaze DJs playing all styles including hip hop, RnB, commercial dance, krump, techno, house, electro and emceed for the first time by J Dee and Lil P as they get the crowd battling for prizes.
Entry is $7, and glow sticks and food will be on sale at the venue.
This is a drug, alcohol and smoke-free event with no passouts. It will be fully supervised with professional security and metal detectors.
