NOBLE Park Primary School is celebrating the success of grade five student Troy Tatnell-Blacker.
Troy, 11, won the Rotary Club of Noble Park’s Junior Essay Competition, winning $150 for himself and $500 for his school.
The prize means the school can now purchase new library books to benefit all of the students.
Noble Park Primary School principal David Rothstadt said each book would contain an acknowledgment on the inside cover that it was purchased with prize money won by Troy.
Mr Rothstadt said Troy had written a fantasy story about a person who finds a crocodile egg and the series of events that follow.
The competition was open to all schools in the Noble Park area, making Troy’s achievement even greater, he said.
